Can I also say, from all the family thank you so much for being a part of what was such a special occasion for Emma. You allowed us the time and space to deal with a very difficult situation and captured the essence of Emma so beautifully. Personally for me it was incredibly moving and I know I would not have had the strength to do this without you.
Thank you for guiding us so skilfully through David’s funeral and for the excellent advice you gave us. Your mixture of quiet calm, assurance, poetry and depth created a place for the funeral’s variety and colour. Everybody is still talking about how perfect you were – how you made everything possible in your quiet assured way and never inserted your own views.
Thanks for everything! I appreciated your attention to detail and your reassuring presence on the day.
Thank you so so much for everything. The service was fantastic and you made it all easy and enjoyable and I didn’t feel alone with the huge task of creating a funeral for my mum.
You, in some way, made the saddest day of my life as bearable as it could be… We all appreciate how kind and patient you were with us when you visited the house and that eventually, together, we managed to put together a beautiful and fitting tribute to a son who will be remembered and missed by his family and all who knew him.
Ruth had been the celebrant for two of our family occasions in the past – to mark my father’s death and the birth of our daughter – so when we came to name our son we couldn’t imagine anyone else leading the ceremony. Ruth’s choice of words and careful planning allowed us to share our feelings with friends and family and once again turned a fleeting celebration into a memorable event we’ll cherish forever. Thank you again from all of us.
